Latest generation Kindle Fire has reportedly been integrated mapping. Amazon, as the party behind the tablet computer, realizing this mapping through its collaboration with Nokia.
Surely there is a compelling reason Amazon decided to hold the Finnish vendor Nokia Oyj. Apparently, the deal is Amazon's attempt to avoid his company use Google Maps.
It is not surprising, because the Kindle Fire is often touted as a competitor Nexus 7, Google's tablet had first supported the location and mapping functions.
Company is the world's largest internet retailer also will menambahan location capability in new devices that were due to be released shortly. This feature is able to mark the location of the owner of the tablet.
Capability is possible thanks to a GPS chip or a process known as WiFi triangulation, quoted by Reuters on Friday (31/08/2012),
Own mapping service is one of the popular features of the tablet. With this, users can get street maps, business locations nearest to traffic conditions.
Although the Kindle is now running the Android operating system, but these tools are not integrated with Google Maps. Users who want to access Google Maps should be through a web browser or download it from third-party developers.
