Tennis player Roger Federer and Andy Murray could meet in the semifinals of the U.S. Open which will be a rematch of the finals at Wimbledon and the London Olympics.
Top seed Federer and Murray, the world number three occupy the same field in Thursday's draw at Flushing Meadows for the last Grand Slam tournament of the year. The match will start on Monday.
Federer beat Murray in July for a seventh title at the All England, while Murray beat Federer on grass this month the same for London Olympics gold medal.
Second seed Novak Djokovic, who won the last U.S. Open, could face world number four David Ferrer in the semifinals.
Rafael Nadal, who won 11 Grand Slam titles and was ranked third, withdrew from the tournament U.S. Open because of a knee injury that has kept him out since she lost in the second round at Wimbledon in late June.
In the quarterfinal girls, top seed Victoria Azarenka could face defending champion Sam Stosur; champion four times major can compete against Maria Sharapova 2011 Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova; 14-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams could face former world number one Caroline Wozniacki , and world number two Agnieszka Radwanska could compete against the world number six Angelique Kerber.
